Update!

I am very behind on my blog! The last couple of months have been pretty busy for us. At the beginning of December we moved into a little home in Meridian. We love it so much. It is just so perfect for the 3 of us. It is in a neighborhood called McCaile Meadows. We love the neighborhood and there is a cute little park across the street from our house. I cant wait to take Peyton over to play when it warms up. The house has 3 bedrooms 2 bathrooms and an upstairs bonus room above the garage. It has the cutest little kitchen and family room and a laundry room and lots of storage space. We also have a cute little backyard. I cant wait to get some fun things out there for Peyton to play on in the summer. We love our little house! It was so fun getting to decorate for Christmas and put Christmas lights up on our own little house. Pictures to come soon :)

Peyton is almost 9 months now. She has changed a lot in the last couple months. She finally got her first tooth. She is still busy busy busy. She is contantly getting into everything. She is opening drawers and unloading them. She also loves to unpack her baby bag several times a day and she loves to dump out all of her baskets on her changing table onto her bedroom floor. Her latest activity is to get ahold of my wallet and to take out all the cards and spread them all over the floor and take out any papers or recipts I have in there and rip the to peices. She is very close to walking. She pulls herself onto everything and walks along the furniture and she is a pro at climbing stairs. Peyton hates being told no. Whenever she gets told no she sits on the ground and pouts and cries for a few minutes. She is very good at throwing fits lately but most of the time she is a sweet baby girl. She is very good about going to sleep when she is supposed to now. Whenever we lay her in her crib to go to sleep she gets mad for about a minute and then just lays down and goes to sleep. She is sleeping through the night and she sleeps in some of the strangest positions. Peyton sure is a talker latetly. She now says "mama" "dada" and "baba" and she knows what those things are. I cant believe my baby is almost 9 months old. She is getting so big! Here are her stats from her last appointment:

7 Months, Birthday, Temple, Baby Shower, Thanksgiving, and More!

This week has been so so busy! Peyton is now 7 months! She really has changed so much in this last month. She can now crawl, and she can go from crawling to sitting and sitting to crawling. She is getting so good and fast at it! She is just so busy, she is into everything! She is starting to pull herself up onto things, but only up onto her knees. She cant quite get onto her feet yet. Peyton is a big talker. She is always talking or making some sort of noise. She has learned a few new tricks. She can now clap, wave and give high fives! We love her so so much!!! Peyton and Daddy having a little chat :) I love them!Peyton immediately rolls onto her tummy and curls into a ball with her bum in the air when I lay her down. Its very cute!Sunday was Ryans 23rd birthday, so Saturday night my parents ordered the ufc fights for him and had food and some people to watch. Sunday we had family dinners, cake and presents with both families. Ryan got a lot of great stuff and had a really good birthday. Peyton was so excited about the candles on the cake she crawled right over and took a big handful of the cake. Peyton had so much fun with the tissue paper from daddys presents!Tuesday was our sealing day. It was such a wonderful day for our family. Peyton was just so adorable in her white dress. I love my little family so much!My wonderful husband bought me a pearl necklace, bracelet and earrings for our special day! I love him!That night we had a dinner at my parents house. We had so many friends and family that came to support us!

It is nearly impossible to get Ryan and his brothers to take a good picture!Peyton had so much fun playing with her cousin Chloe. They were taking turns chewing on Chole's hat and giving each other big kisses!Then on Wednesday we had a baby shower for my sister in law Jessica. We had so much yummy food and it was a really great turn out! We are so excited for her little girl to get here!Jordan getting in some practice before his little girl gets here!Thursday of course was Thanksgiving! In the morning we had turkey bowl. It was really fun to go watch all the boys play.We ate at Ryan's moms house this year. We had a really great Thanksgiving dinner and we are so glad Jordan and Jessica could come up from California to be with us!Peyton tried a lemon for the first time at dinner, she really didnt like it to much but she sure made some adorable faces!

Family Pictures

We just had our first family pictures taken since Peyton was born. We really liked how they turned out, but we wish Peyton could have been looking and smiling more! She was so interested in everything except the camera! She tried eating rocks and leaves and always tried to crawl away. It was very interesting trying to get her to do what we needed her to! I love my little family so much!!!

Halloween and 6 Months!

Peyton is now 6 months! I just cant believe my baby is already 6 months. She has such a big fun personality. We love her so much. She is just the happiest little girl. She very rarely gets upset or cries. I love that she is starting to always want me and Ryan, its just so cute when she puts her arms out for us to pick her up. Peyton can pretty much go anywhere she wants to, and she does always want to be going somewhere! She usually rolls everywhere but sometime she will get up and scoot herself or even crawl a little bit. Her most favorite thing in the world is bath time. She gets so excited and splashes everywhere, and gets me soaking wet. She sleeps so well at night, but is not a huge fan of taking naps (which is probably why she sleeps so well at night). I can get her to take two 45 minute naps a day usually, if I am lucky. She just always wants to be up, playing getting all the attention! She gets a thrill out of pulling blankets over her face, which is a very scary habit of hers. Whenever she wakes up from her naps, she doesn't cry she just pulls a blanket over her head and waits for someone to come and find her. Even if I tuck her blanket into her crib, she still some how manages to get it over her face. Hopefully she grows out of that soon! She is such a busy busy baby. She is constantly moving and wiggling around. She cant sit still for a second she is always looking around for anything in her reach that she may be able to grab to put in her mouth. She is still growing so much a getting so big. She is already to long for 9 month pajamas! She is a tall baby girl! She talks do much lately and she always says "da da", even though she doesnt really know what that is. :)She is just more and more fun everyday! Peyton's first Halloween started out a little bit rough. She was so tired and grumpy and not very happy that she had to be in a costume. She sure was cute though! She was very upset most of the night and just wanted to be held and needed constant attention :) She did however, love her very first pumpkin! We didn't do anything to exciting this year, since Peyton is to young to go trick or treating we decided to stay home, pass out candy carve pumpkins and watch Hocus Pocus! It turned out to be a really fun night. Ryan is a professional pumpkin carver and I am definitely not! Ryan is such a great husband.. he wasn't super happy about it, but he carved me a Twilight Edward and Bella pumpkin. It turned out so great! I just cant wait any longer for NEW MOON!!! Thanks Ryan :)

Here is our little cheetah.. having a hard night. I know I shouldn't be taking time to take pictures while she is crying, but she just looked so adorable I couldn't help it. Poor Miss Peyton.

Peyton's Baby Blessing

Peyton's baby blessing was such a great experience for our family. We decided to do a home blessing, Peyton looked so beautiful in her dress and Ryan did such an amazing job. We had a lot of family there to support us and we had a lot of yummy desserts afterwards. I am so happy to have a worthy priesthood holder as a husband and such a sweet baby girl!

4 Generations: Baby Peyton, Mom, Grandma and Great Grandma. I have a picture when I was Peyton's age with my Great Great Grandma, 5 Generations! We were so excited to get a 5 generations picture when Peyton was born, but her Great Great Grandpa died 4 days before she was born. So sleepy after her big day.

5 MONTHS!

Little Peyton Jo is 5 months old! She is just busy busy busy all the time! She cant sit still for a second! She always wants to be grabbing onto everything she can see and everything goes in her mouth! She almost immediately rolls onto her tummy when I lay her on her back and she is so good at sitting up! Once she is on her tummy she can get herself into a crawling position and she will rock back and forth until her arms get tired and she falls back onto her tummy. Its so fun that she is learning how to do all these new things, she can sit in the high chairs when we go out to eat and she can sit up in the shopping carts at the store! She started eating solids.. it has been very interesting and messy trying to teach her to eat baby food but she is starting to get it and love it! She loves to talk and make noise constantly! She is so friendly and she loves other babies! At her last doctors appointment she was in the 92% for weight and 96% for height! She is a tall chubby healthy baby girl! We love her!

Boise State Football

Peyton went to her very first Boise State football game. She was so good during the game. There was just so much going on and so much to explore she just could not sit still. She had so much fun and she looked so cute in her little Boise State cheerleading outfit! We are starting her out early with a love for BSU football!

Douglas Family Pictures

This last weekend Jordan and Jessica were in town. It was so good to see them, and they got to meet Peyton for the first time. In the fall we do family pictures, but we decided do to them a little early this year since they were in town. It is always a very interesting experience taking family pictures and it sure takes a lot of effort to get everyone cooperate.. well mostly just the boys. Peyton was very well behaved for the pictures, but it kind of wiped her out and she fell asleep half way through, but I think we got some really good pictures.

Peyton's New Tricks

Peyton has been so much fun lately! She is showing so much personality! I love those big brown eyes! Peyton is getting so good at sitting up! She can pretty much do it by herself now. It takes her several minutes before she falls over!She loves it when daddy make her "fly"This is her newest trick. She absolutely loves her feet! Whenever she in on her back she will grab her toes. She even does it when I change her diaper. It makes for very easy diaper changings. Peyton loves tons of things surrounding her when she sleeps.

McCall

This week we went my aunts parents cabin in McCall. It was so much fun! The cabin is so beautiful and it is right on the lake. Most of my family on my dads side were there. It was so nice to have a fun relaxing trip! I love my little miss Peyton!Peyton in her big blue suit :) We wanted to be able to take Peyton on the boat so we bought her a life jacket swimming suit. She is hilarious in it!The boys were very into tubing! They were constantly out on the lake. My dad and my uncle take them on some pretty intense rides and they all ended up with injury's.. including me :( but they absolutely love it!

Me and Angie.. we aren't quite as intense as the boys :)Ryan was so amazing this week.. he hasn't been wake boading in 4 years and he got up his first try and jumped the wake. So then we made him try slalom skiing which he has never done before and he got up his first try and was crossing the wake and cutting. He did awesome! He also tried wake surfing which he did great at!All the boys went cliff jumping.. and because this is not a big enough thrill for my dad he did a flip off it instead of just jumping.Harry Potter

4 MONTHS!

Our little girl is 4 months old! She is getting so big and changing so much! She is learning so many new tricks! She loves to be standing up and she will take steps when you help her. She is starting to be able to sit up on her own really well. She can roll from her back to her tummy and from her tummy to her back. Whenever she is on her tummy she tries to hard to go places and she can rotate herself 360 degrees in a matter of minutes. She absolutely loves bath time! She will kick and splash and laugh and move around so much she can get herself sideways in her bath or she will somehow get onto her stomach. She thinks that everything is so funny and she is laughing out loud all the time! She always has so much to say and she talks back to everyone really well when they talk to her and she is starting to make lots of different sounds. She loves watching disney movies.. especially happy feet and she is sleeping all the way through the night! Sometimes she can sleep up to 12 hours if we don't wake her up! But usually only about 8 or 9! She loves her toys and books and anything that has sounds and lights. She puts everything in her mouth that she can get a hold of! She is getting really good at holding things.. her favorite thing to grab is our food which makes for a huge mess at dinner time. She is already teething.. so she is super slobbery and she always puts our fingers in her mouth and bites really hard. We can feel two teeth on top coming in and two on the bottom! We love our little girl so much!

Jessica's 19th Bday!

Today was Jessica's 19th birthday! We went to see The Time Travelers Wife with Jess, Tammy and Carson. The girls are really liked it but the boys really hated it :) That's usually how it goes with movies like that! This was the first time we have taken Peyton to a movie theatre and she was surprisingly good! She was so mesmerized by the lights and sounds coming from the huge screen! She loved it! She even started laughing out loud which was so cute.. even if it was during the sad part of the movie! We love our little Peyton girl! She is so fun! And we are so happy we could celebrate Jessica's birthday with her! Happy Birthday Jessica! Blowing out birthday candles!Very satisfied after blowing out all the candles in one try! She has never done this before! :)

So Good To Be Home!!! :)

We are back from Texas! It was quite an experience and we had fun while we were there but we are so happy to be home! I can definitely say I have no desire to ever go back to Houston.. that heat and humidity and those super sized bugs nearly killed me :) We have never been so happy to be back in Boise!! Here are some things that have happened in the last little while... I turned 21! I had a really good birthday and I am very glad we were back home to celebrate with our families!Some people that we missed a lot! My baby girl turned 3 months old! I cannot believe it she is just getting so big and growing so fast! She is a very happy healthy little girl! She is so fun and we just love her to death!!! Fun In Houston!

We have had so much fun living in Houston so far this summer! It has been quite an adventure! Sundays are our favorite because we get to spend the whole day with Ryan! There is an amazing pool and kiddie splash park at our apartments so we always go to the pool and bbq after church and let Peyton get in the water for a while because she loves it so much!! Whenever she is in the pool she gets so excited and kicks and splashes.. and then eventually gets very tired and falls asleep. She would sleep all day in the pool if we would let her! :) Baby Peyton loves swimming with her daddy!And.. we're asleep! :)Such a happy girl after she takes a nap in the pool! 1 YEAR!

May was our 1 year anniversary! We didnt really get to do anything big to celebrate because we were on the road to Texas but it was still such a good day being with each other and our little baby girl! We have had such a fun wonderful year together! I couldnt have found a better person to spend forever with!

THE 4TH!

We had a really fun 4th this year! There was a huge celebration in downtown Houston that we went to and there was nearly 1.5 million people there! The manager and his wife got a suite down town and we met up with all the apx salesmen and their families for chicken and potatoes and lots of good food and to visit and stuff before the fireworks. After we ate and the sun went down so it wasn't quite so hot, Ryan, Peyton and I went and walked around the park and looked at all of the stuff. Peyton was so happy to be outside in her stroller walking around! She loved it! After we walked for a bit we went to a huge outdoor Clay Walker concert! It was so much fun and there were so many people there! We were so far back that we couldn't even see him and we weren't even in the very back! :) But we could hear great so it was still so fun! After the concert we walked back to the hotel to watch the fireworks from the suite. The whole wall was a window so we had such a perfect view! We thought it would be better to be inside with a little baby! The fireworks we watched were the biggest firework show in the nation! It was amazing! We had such a fun day.. but we sure missed being back in Boise celebrating with our families! I made Peyton a little 4th of July tutu and headband! She hated it but it was so cute!At the Clay Walker concert! There were tons of people! You cant even see in this picture how far back it goes! And those lights in the top left corner is the stage :)

When we were walking back to the hotel we ran into a huge group of Muslims dancing and singing.. and of course Ryan jumps right in and dances with them which was fine with them, but while I was recording him I was laughing at him and one of them comes up to me and starts getting mad saying that is wasn't funny and it wasn't for fun and it was for your "spiritual inside" Ryan is the one with with white shirt and the black hat!

Here are a few cute videos of our baby girl! Lately Peyton has been doing a fake cry to get attention.. as if she doesn't get enough attention already! :) It is quite funny! And she has been talking and laughing so much! Nobody can make her smile like Ryan can!

2 MONTHS!

Our baby Peyton is 2 months old! It is so crazy.. time has gone so quick and she is growing so fast! She has already changed so much from when she was born! Here are the events in Peyton Jo's life so far!!!

Month One:

- Born on April 28, 2009 at 1:22pm. Weighing 6.13 and was 19 inches long!

- Was very alert and responsive and could hold her head up quite well ever since she was born.

- Had her 1 week appointment where she had already gained 1/2 lb, and babies usually loose about a lb in the first week! She was a very good eater! At her one week appointment she peed on daddy 3 times! :) Very funny!

- She slept A LOT!

- She decided she HATED being swaddled (at about 2 weeks)

- She also decided she hated being held like a baby, and didn't like nursing to much because of this.

- Didn't ever want to be wearing clothes or sleepers.. and was only happy in a onesie (this only lasted a couple of weeks).

- Traveled 30 hours across the country to Texas at 3 weeks!

Month Two:

- Started sucking on her binky, hands, blankets, mine and Ryan's fingers, and basically anything she could get into her mouth.

- She first smiled and laughed in response to me and Ryan, not gas or in her sleep :)

- Decided she loves the outside and the water! Whenever we put her in her stroller and take her for a walk outside she is so good and falls asleep every time and whenever we put her in the pool she falls asleep! :)

- She never wants to be asleep during the day. Whenever she is tired and falling asleep her eyes start rolling in the back of her head and she will look as far up as she can to try and keep her eyes open!

- Started to love taking baths! And especially loved having her hair blow dried afterwards!

- She loves when we help her stand up.

- She started sleeping through the night.. most nights! Its AMAZING!

- Every time I put her in her car seat she stands in it and I have to wait until she is tired of standing and she will sit down, to buckle her in.

- She loves when I am changing her diaper and I put diaper rash ointment on her little bum! She smiles and kicks her legs and thinks its so fun! So even though she has never had a diaper rash, we treat her to a little bum medicine every now and then!

- She hates laying down and always wants to be sitting up even though she cant balance by herself yet. Whenever we lay her in her car seat or on the bed or anywhere she will hold her head off the ground the entire time she is laying there! She has a very strong neck!!

- Started to talk and talk and talk! (even though she can only make about 3 different sounds)- She decided she HATES sleeping in her bassinet because she likes to sleep with her arms straight out and it wakes her up when they hit the sides of the bassinet. She slept in our bed for a while and she loved it, but there is just not enough room for three of us! So since her crib and all her things are in Boise, we got a twin mattress and she sleeps on that next to our bed, and she sleeps great!!!

- Also when she sleeps, she wont sleep good unless her arms are NOT covered by the blanket and she has to have a bottle touching her face :) It is very strange! If I try and move it she wakes up every time!

- And her newest trick is her fake cry! It is quite funny but not very believable.. she needs to work on it!

She is kind of an unusual baby :) but she definitely keeps things interesting and so fun! We love her!

An update on Baby Peyton Jo!

Peyton is such a happy baby! She has been showing so much personality lately! She thinks everything is so funny! It doesnt take much to make our little girl smile! Here are some big smilies from Peyton!! :) She is so fun!Peyton LOVES to stand up! Whenever we help her stand up she gets so excited and starts talking and shaking and moving her arms all around! Its so funny! Peyton and daddy! :)Some very cute faces from Peyton Jo!Whenever I try to put Peyton in her car seat she always stands up and locks her legs and it is so hard to get her to sit down! If I try to make her sit she gets very angry, so I usually just wait until she is tired of standing and she will sit down on her own. Sometimes she will stand there for several minutes! Its quite funny and sometimes frustrating if I am in a hurry! :) This is Peyton getting very upset after trying to make her sit! She tenses up her whole body and starts moving from side to side!I think this picture is so funny and cute! She was standing for so long this day! She is just hanging out.. in no hurry to get in her car seat!

On Sunday Peyton was looking so adorable so I wanted to get a good family picture and Ryan was being very difficult. But eventually he decided to behave and we got a good one.. it did make us late to church! Peyton and Spence all ready for church!Peyton was just looking so cute on Sunday I couldnt stop taking pictures of her! Another one of those days that I couldnt stop taking pictures! She woke up and was so happy and smiley! She is just such a cutie!!! She is still working on growing into her 0-3 months clothes! Peyton loves her baths so much! When Ryan comes home for work Peyton gets so happy and will sit and just talk to him. It is so cute she misses him when he is at work! I wish I could have gotten her talking to him for longer but whenever she sees me with the camera she gets very distracted!

An Update!

Well we are on our way to Texas! Ryan will be selling alarm systems for apx alarms this summer in Houston. We left Thursday and drove 8 hours to Richfield, Ut and stayed one night there with Ryan's Grama. We got to see all of Ryan's family that live there. It was so much fun. We were planning on staying another night with Ryan's Grama, but we thought we didnt have time because they said they wanted Ryan there asap. Turns out, they didnt have our apartment ready and wont have it ready until Monday. Then Friday we drove 10 hours to New Mexico to stay with my Grandparents, which is where we are now. We arent leaving until Monday to drive to Houston. It has been nice to have a break. Today we went to Santa Fe, went to lunch and walked around the shops there. It has been so good to see my family! Peyton has done really well on our drives so far. She has slept most of the way, and just wakes up to eat and be changed. And she loves her car seat which is great news for us! Our drive on Monday will be about 13 hours so hopefully that will go good! :)

Other news.. Ryan got a basketball scholarship to play at TVCC in the fall. I am so proud of him, he just went to one tryout and the coach was very impressed and gave him a spot on the team. A couple days later he went to open gym and the coach was even more impressed and gave him a scholarship! I am so excited to watch him play basketball again, he is amazing! So the plan now is to play there for 2 years, get some classes done and then play at a bigger school while he finishes his degree and gets ready to go to law school!

Baby Peyton is doing so good. We just love having her here! I dont know how we ever lived without her, she is just such a sweetheart! She sure is a lot of work but very worth it. Being a mom is so great! She is getting so funny and cute everyday. We love her so much!

And also our one year anniversary is tomorrow!!! I cant believe we have been married for a whole year. It has gone by so quick! Ryan is the best husband anyone could ask for, and he is such a good daddy to Peyton. I love you Ryan!!!

Brooke Mack took Peyton's newborn pictures, and they turned out so cute! Peyton was not very happy about the whole experience but we got some really good pictures anyway! This is one of my favorites, I made her this little tutu and headband, she looks like a little princess! I cant stop constantly taking pictures of her, she is just so cute!She is so funny when she sleeps! She always has to have her arms all over the place! And her new thing is that she wont wear her pjs anymore. More Of Our Sweet Baby Girl!

Peyton has had her picture taken so much during the first few days of her life! She is just such a cutie! She is already so spoiled and gets all of the attention! Everyone has to fight to hold her everyday! She is such a sweetie!!! She is already so alert and can focus on your face when you talk to her and she is so strong! She will move her head around and hold it up all by herself!Little Peyton loves so suck her thumb!I love looking at her tiny cute little body and her long fingers and toes!Meeting Great Grampa Christensen for the first time!Peyton loves to eat daddys nose!Peyton and daddy very tired at 3 in the morning! She has her days and nights very mixed up right now! She sleeps all day and is wide awake from 11pm to 4am!She is such a sweetheart when she sleeps! I love her little bracelet! Peyton Jo Douglas!!

SHE IS HERE!

Peyton was born April 28th at 1:22pm. I was induced that morning at 6 am because I was a week overdue and no signs of labor. Once they started my labor I was dilating 1 cm and hour. So at about 12:30 they said I was dilated to 5 1/2 cm, we figured we probably had another 4 or 5 hours so we sent my parents to rent us movies and get food. About a half hour later I started feeling pressure and contractions again even though I already had an epidural, so they checked me and I was at 10 cm and ready to push right then. So we called my parents and got my mom back here barely in time to see little Peyton be born. I only pushed for 7 minutes and she was here! She is the sweetest little girl! We are so happy that she is finally with us! We love her so much!!!

Peyton was 6 lbs 13 oz and 19 inches long. She was born with a lot of long dark hair!

Guinness Record Breaking

Spencer and his friend Dalin decided they wanted to break some guinness world records. So what they came up with was to break the record of person wearing the most shirts at one time. The record is 238 shirts so they are going for 240. They did a test run to see if it was going to work out... they each ended up with 33 shirts on and they started turning purple everywhere because they were cutting off blood circulation and they couldnt put their arms down. It was very comical to watch! We will see if they real record breaking ever gets attemped.
