2011 Wrap Up!

Well it is a new year I figured I should probably catch up on all the events from last year that havent been posted! These last few months have been so busy and so fun!

As always Thanksgiving was busy this year! There was a lot of family time, football and yummy food! Thanksgiving morning all the boys had turkey bowl, which is always so fun to watch! Peyton spent the whole time teaching Grampa Rick how to march, and Beckam slept the entire time in the car. We had two Thanksgivings this year, just as we do most years. First we had lunch at my Grama and Grampa Christensens house. After we ate, we played bingo, and Ryan won twice. He got a present for Peyton Jo the first time, because he is such a good daddy, and a the second time he won a remote control helicopter, which he flew all day long. After lunch, we went to Ryan's moms house for dinner. There was so much good food! We feel very blessed that our families all live in one place so we can spend holidays with everyone.. even if we are completly sick by the end of the day! :)

We also got to celebrate Christmas with just about everyone! Peyton had begged me for a week or so to make cookies for Santa, so we baked sugar cookies and Peyton made them look so beautiful. This girl has some mad cookie decorating skills.. Dont mind the outfit change, she decided she needed to wear Christmas pjs to decorate Christmas cookies. Or maybe I decided that.. :)

When it came to presents this year, the babies were beyond spoiled! Peyton was loving that she got to open presents just about everyday for a week. My Grama and Grama Rigby bought them both some cute little outfits. My Grama and Grampa Christenen brought gifts over about a week before Christmas. Peyton got some little magnent dress up dolls that she loves, among other things. And Beckam got your typical 5 month old baby toys, which he loves too. Grampa Rick and Pam came over a few days before Christmas and brought Beckam a new walker and Peyton a guitar and a my little pony remote control car, again among other things. Peyton was way excited about her new guitar, so she put on a little rock show for us all.

Christmas eve we went over to my parents house. Everyone opened their Chistmas pjs and opened presents. Peyton got a littlest pet shop tree house, which she loved, and Beckam got a new play mat which he was vey excited about! They got so many fun things! I just love my babies is fleece footie pjs!

Christmas day we had our own little family Christmas at our house and I will admit I got way carried away buying gifts for my babies this year. But it was totally worth it because Peyton was HAPPY! Beckam really didnt care much, but Peyton had fun opening his presents up for him and showing them to him. She is such a good big sister!

Later Christmas day we went over to Ryan's moms house, where the babies were once again.. spoiled. They had presents from Grama Douglas, Aunt Jess, Uncle Carson and Great Grama oberts! They both got cute little outfits and super fun toys! Uncle Carson gave Peyton little missionry action figures and told her that they are Uncle Spencer and Uncle Carson (who are both now out on missions) and Peyton loves playing with them! She even gave them girlfriends, Carson got the Cinderella barbie and Spence got the Ariel barbie. I think Spence and Carson would both appreciate that.

Ryan and I were also spoiled during all of this with pf changs, tj maxx and cabelas gift cards, tickets to see les mes, clothes, treats, a drink super cute drink dispenser and.. a kichen aid! (and more) I was happy! :)

After all the presnt giving was said and done, we made it back to our house with them and after 4 trips of bringing in toys from the car I decided to put all Peyton and Beckam's new things on the couch for a picture! Its a bit much.... yeah?

There were many other holiday festivies that went on through the month. We had several family Christmas parties. One at my Grama Christensens house, where she made yummy food and then we all went to the church to play minute to win it games. It was so much fun! Ryan and I made an awesome team when I had to through m&ms at him trying to get them to stick to his forehead smeared with peanut butter. We went against 2 other teams and we won! We stuck 14 m&ms in one minute!

One of Peyton's favorite activities this year was decorating gingerbread houses!

We also got to go see all the fun lights down at the botanical gardens with Grampa Rick and Pam. It was cold, but we bundled up the babies and it was so much fun! Peyton and Beckam got to see a reindeer and sit on Santas lap! Peyton loved it and Beckam was so happy and smiling the entire time! (dont mind the dead animal on ryan's head.. oh i mean hat..?)

We just love the Christmas season and being able to spend time with family and celebrate the birth of our savior. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!! :)

Beckam's Blessing Day

November has been busy! We have had so much going on.. after Ryan's graduation we had Beckams baby blessing, Ryan's birthday, Thanksgiving and Carson's mission farewell! There has been so much fun family time and we have been loving it!

We blessed our little Beckam man a couple of Sunday's ago. We had a lot of family and friends there to support us. Ryan did such a great job and gave Beckam a really sweet blessing. It wasnt a fast sunday when we blessed him because we had to plan it around a few things.. so after the blessing our bishop got up and decided to have Ryan and I come up and bare our testimonys. We had no idea that he was going to do that and so we didnt even have one minute to prepare so we were not overly thrilled about it... a litte heads up before sacrament meeting started would have been nice and we would have been happy to do it. Even though we were both a little angry, we did it anyway. But I speak for both of us when I say being blind sided at church was not our favorite part of the day :) But we survived! Other than that.. it was a wonderful day. My aunt Kim hosted a luncheon for family and friends afterward and it turned out great! I am so greatful for Ryan and the good man and daddy that he is!
Beckam was tooo cute in his little blessing outfit :) The night before his blessing I sewed him a little while blanket and it turned out so cute!

Ryans Graduation

This last week was Ryan's graduation from the post acadamy! Ryan has worked so hard these last couple of months during training, studying, shooting and learning arrest techniques. Unfortuntly, most of the arrest techniques, he practiced on me... But he has put in a lot of hours, including a few 14 hour days. He had awesome test scores, both written and physical and qualified shooting a shot gun and a glock. All his hard work payed off and he graduated 3rd in his class! It was so fun to watch him graduate and we are so proud of him! After gradution he got 5 days off and he starts work out at the maxium security prison on Tuesday! :)

Halloween

We had a little bit of a a rough Halloween this year.. Earlier in the day my mom had surgery so my parents missed out on all of the Halloween festivities that day. My little brother Kaden had a Halloween parade at his school so I went to that since my parents couldnt be there to help him with his costume and watch him in his parade. Then we were planning on going to Ryan's moms house before she had to go to work then we were going to my Aunt and Uncles house for dinner and trick or treating in the park at their neighborhood at five. Ryan was supposed to get off work around five and didnt end up getting off until about six fifteen. While we were waiting for Ryan to get home, Peyton fell asleep and I could not get her to wake up. So once Ryan got home, we loaded the babies up in the car and headed to my Aunts house, since Ryan's mom had already headed to work. By the time we got there everyone had already eaten and the trick or treating in the park was basically over. We woke up Peyton so she could trick or treat before everyone was gone and when we woke her up she was so grumpy! She made Ryan carry her the whole night, she wouldnt talk to anyone and Ryan basically had to drag her up to get candy! It took us about five minutes to go trick or treating though the park so then we took Peyton to a few houses, but she just wasnt that into it. So we went back to my Aunts house, ate some left over food and then stopped by Ryan's dads house so he could see the babies and then headed to the mall to see Ryan's mom. After the mall we headed up to the hospital to see my parents and show them the babies costumes. It was a busy/rough Halloween.. but still fun! :)
This year Peyton was a cowgirl and Beckam was her little horsey! It was very cute! I managed to get a few pictures of Peyton in her costume before she fell asleep.

Beckam's little cousin Colten (my little cousin actually..) are only two weeks apart. Beckam was a horse for Halloween and Colten was a cow so we had to get some pictures of the little guys!

New Job!

Ryan got a new job! He is now a correctional officer at our state prison. It is a much better job that he had before and it will be a perfect place for him to be while he finishs school. It seems CRAZY to me that he works at the prison, but at I am happy to have Ryan at a job that he enjoys. It makes me a little bit nervous that he is dealing with the people that he is dealing with everyday, but he is loving it! It is definelty a job that fits his personality well! He is still in training, but has already had a lot of very interesting days out there!

Isnt he just the cutest correctional officer ever!? :)

Well, I am a bit behind on blogging. I guess that happens when you have two babies at home! This last month has been so fun and so busy! I love that fall is finally here becuase that means BSU games!!! We have had couple little parties to watch the away games and we went to the Nevada game. It was Beckam's first BSU game and he did great! He slept almost the entire game. It was a little bit difficult trying to figure out where and how to feed him at a big college stadium.. especially since I forgot my nursing cover :) Other than that, it went great! Unfortunetly I forgot my camera, so no pictures of little mans first football game. We LOVE football season! GO BRONCOS!!!

Also this month Ryan's brother, Carson got some exciting news! He got his mission call to the Belgium Netherlans mission, dutch speaking! He leaves December 14th, and we ae so excited for him! He will be such a wonderful missionary!

My brother Spencer is on his mission in Thailand and is doing great! We love getting his letters and hearing all of his neat experiences. He has eaten some really disgusting things like frog (the whole frog), bugs (with every meal) and curdled blood soup (yes, it is exactly what the name says). They have a wild dog problem in Thailand and Spencer has had to get rabies shots since he has been bitten. He has been out 6 months now, and he is loving it! We miss him :( but are so proud of him!

A couple weeks ago we went to the zoo one final time before it got freezing.. which it did! Peyton loved it as usual!

Beckam is two months old now, and is getting so big! I cant believe how fast the little newborn stage passes by :( But he is so much fun lately! He smiles all the time, and does little giggles. They are so sweet! He tries so hard to talk and makes the cutest little cooing sounds! He is such a happy little boy! Peyton is two and a half, and so so busy! She just goes all day long! She is in the funniest stage, and she has so many hilarious things to say all the time. She absolutely loves her baby brother and he gets so excited and starts talking and kicking his legs when she talks to him. I love that they love eachother! Peyton always wants to help do everything involving Beckam. She loves to practice changing diapers on her Dora baby.

After Dora was all diapered she insisted that her baby brother told her that he wanted Dora to lay by him. Im not so sure it has baby brother who wanted her to lay there..

One Month

Our little Beckam man is one month old today! I cant believe how fast this month has gone! Beckam is such a sweet little boy and we love him more and more everyday! We had some newborn pictures taken and I love how they turned out! Happy one month birthday little man!

At two weeks and two days Beckam's cord finally came off so we gave him his first real bath. He loved it! He just sat quiety he whole time, very relaxed! I just love his cute, little body! While Beckam was in his bath Peyton insisted on brushing her teeth! <3 them!

2 weeks

Well our little guy has been with us for two weeks now! He has already brought so much fun and love and joy into our family! He is such a happy little boy! He only cries when he gets hungry, he is doing great nursing and he eats about every three hours. He had his days and night mixed up at first but is doing so much better now, and waking up only to eat.. usually. He has so many hilarious faces that he makes. I love when he tries to focus on something and goes cross-eyed and when you love him up too much and he isn't sure what to think about it, he gets a very confused look on his face and scrunches is eye brows. It's super cute! He is so good in the car and whenever we take him out anywhere he's so quite and nice the whole time! I haven't been able to do a lot these last two weeks because of my c section so I haven't tried going out into the world with two kiddos by myself yet.. I am a bit nervous about it! We have been out a few times with both of them and it is definetly a process getting everything together, and loaded and unloaded and loaded again. Ryan has been so amazing these last couple of weeks, he has had to do a lot of the laundry and vacuuming and lots of other house work! He is such a good husband and daddy to his two babies!
At Beckam's one week appointment he had already grown half an inch and gained about a pound! The doctor was so impressed with how much weight he had already gained. He's going to be a chubbers in no time! He has already grown himself a nice little double chin in how first two weeks of life.
Peyton is still doing great with her baby brother! She always wants to help me do things and she loves to talk to him.. she says the most adorable things to him! She is always very concerned about him when he cries and wants me to fix it right away.. she is such a great big sister!
She always says "thats my baby brother, i love him" or "thats my baby brother, he's a best friend of me" :) She always wants to kiss him and love him up! I love my babies!

Baby Beckam Is Here!

Our little boy is here! Beckam Kristopher Douglas was born Monday at 1:29 pm. He is a tiny little guy, he weighed 5 lbs 13 oz and was 19 in long. Monday we went to the hospital not knowing if he is still breech or not. We had an ultrasound and found out that he was, so I had to have a c section. I was a little bummed, especially since my natural delivery with Peyton went so well. We were supposed to have the c section at noon but we got bumped to 1:00 because some one had to have an emergency c section. So we did a little waiting around and it was the longest hour of my life! They started my c section a little after 1:00 and he was born at 1:29! My doctor did the entire c section in 15 minutes, when it normally takes about an hour for most doctors! It was so fast! Having a c section is so different than when I had Peyton. It has been a little harder recovery so far, but I am kind of happy I got to experience child birth both ways! We are so happy our little man is finally here and we love him so much!!!

The next pictures are of the actually surgery and are a bit gruesome, so if you are squeamish you might want to skip these :) Ryan watched the entire surgery and took lots of pictures. It didn't bother him at all. He says it was the craziest thing that he has ever watched!

5 lbs 12.8 oz :) soo tiny!

After the surgery I had to go back to the recovery room and wait until I wasn't so numb before they could take us up to the mom and baby floor to our room. I was so numb I couldn't move my legs at all for a couple hours. I didn't get to hold Beckam for a couple hours after the surgery because I had to have all the feeling back in my upper body and I had to lay down for a while so I didn't get nauseated. That is one thing that bummed me out about having a c section.. not being able to hold my baby right away. I couldn't nurse him when he was first born either because I had to lay down and wait for feeling so Ryan got to feed him.

He was a very happy Daddy! So happy to meet his little boy!

She was a little unsure at first, but she warmed up to him really quickly and took charge being the big sister. She wanted to feed him and hold him and rock him. Whenever he would cry she would say "baby brother you want mommy? you want mommy?!" and try to carry him over to me. Very scary but so cute! :) She has been such a helpful big sister and loves her baby brother sooo much!

She is always very interested in what we are doing to baby brother and always wants to help!

We are now home and we are all doing really well. I am a little sore and I am not supposed to carry anything or do anything which has been really hard! We have had lots of people bring us dinners and lots of help which has been so nice! Beckam is doing so good. He is nursing really well and he is such a good, happy baby! We love him! Ryan and I feel so lucky to be parents to our two amazing babies! We are so happy! <3

Well we are still patiently waiting for our little Beckam to make his arrival! At my doctor appointment this week we found out he is breech! So we are hoping he will turn on his own before next Monday. If he doesn't turn on his own we are scheduled to have a c section Monday at noon, which I am really bummed out about! So I guess we will see what happens! We are sooo ready for him to come! I cant believe sometimes that we are going to have another baby, I am not sure how I am going to handle two kids and full time school, especially because Peyton is already such a handful and school is keeping me so busy and making me so crazy! But at the same time, I am so excited to meet this little guy I can hardly stand it! I think Peyton knows what is going on and she is so excited to be a big sister and meet her baby bother! I cant believe how much new stuff we had to buy for this little guy, I thought we would be able to use a bunch of Peyton's things, but everything is either really girly or really destroyed, so little Beckam ended up with all new stuff! I love baby shopping and getting ready for this little guy to come into the world! Only 3 days!We cant wait!

Lately Peyton thinks that she is a doctor and she loves to fix up her Daddy! She also loves to do his hair and dress him up in jewelery!

This last weekend Ryan played in the Bam Jam 3 on 3 basketball tournament. It was down town, right in the middle of BoDo! It was HOT and being nine months pregnant and sitting in 90 degree heat all day long is hard, but it was still so fun eating yummy food, walking around, spending time with family and watching Ryan play.

Summer!

We have had a great summer so far! Peyton is such a water baby so we have spent a lot of time at our neighborhood swimming pool and roaring springs. I usually love the hot hot summers, but being eight months pregnant, its not so much fun. It has been nice having roaring springs passes and a neighborhood swimming pool to cool down! Hopefully this next 4 weeks will go by quick, we cant wait for our little man to get here! We have to look forward to the end of summer semester, my birthday, a week at the cabin in McCall, and finishing up baby shopping. Hopefully all of that will distract me from my uncomfortable pregnant body and the horrible heat!

The 4th of July weekend was a lot of fun, we spent one day at Ryan's moms house and ate yummy food and homemade ice cream and then had a bbq and fireworks with my family on the 4th!

Peyton loves to pick Grama Douglas' flowers! I am not sure Grama Douglas' loves it quite as much :)

Peyton loved the fireworks this year. After each one she would shout "Oh my gosh! Did you see that?!"

We were so happy Ryan's friend Jonathan and his wife Camille could come over for the fireworks!

Baby Shower!

This last weekend my aunt Angie, and my mom threw me an amazing baby shower! We had a great turn out and it was so fun seeing all the adorable baby boy stuff! We had so much yummy food.. chicken salad croissants, pasta salad, green salad, fruit, veggies, brownies, mini fruit pizzas, baby cake pops, a chocolate fountain, a candy buffet, and blue pina coladas.. it was delish! Angie and I had so much fun planning and putting the shower together, and I think it turned out so cute!

So happy Hannah and Kylee moved to Boise so they could be there :)

graduation.. 28 weeks.. family visits.. new puppy.. ouchy..

Well we have been busy busy lately.. especially this last weekend. Ryan and I both had family in town which was crazy.. but so fun! Ryan's little brother Carson graduated from Rocky Mountain! Ryan's Grandma, Aunt, Uncle and Cousins came from Utah to be part of his big day! It was so fun to get to see them, and we are so happy they made the trip! We had a dinner at Ryan's mom's house before graduation, which was deelish! We dropped Peyton off with my parents before we went to the graduation because we would have never made it through with her! She just cannot sit for things like that.. she is much to busy. She had so much fun running around with lots of cousins, uncles and dogs at Grandma and Grandpa's house. The graduation was quite long, like most are but surprisingly more entertaining than most! The student speech was given by two of Carson's friends, and they did their speech together and a "duet" and it was hilarious! They also made up different words to Katy Perry's song "firework" which they sang together, while one of them played the ...... They did such a great job! By far the best graduation speech I have ever heard! After graduation we went to my parents house for a little bit to visit with my family. My mom's aunt, uncle and cousins were in town because a few of their kids just moved to Boise and so they just wanted to come and visit. My parents house was pretty wild, but it was so much fun to see all of them! After we visited and picked up Peyton we went back over to Ryan's moms house and had a chocolate fountain, which we always love, and visited a little more with Ryan's family. It was a fun filled family weekend! We are so proud of Carson for graduating, especially with such good grades and so many accomplishments! Congrats Carson!!!

I love love love my cousins!

This weekend also means I am 28 weeks! Time is moving slower and slower every day.. we are just so excited for our little guy to get here! This pregnancy is seeming so much longer than my first. I am not nearly as sick as I was during the first few months, but still not great. I still have a lot of nausea at night, but I am mostly just really uncomfortable. Lots of back pain, and trouble sleeping, and I am just exhausted all the time! But im hanging in there, its definitely all worth it when our little baby gets here! We just cant wait! We are not sure how yet how Peyton is going to react to her baby brother. She loves babies, im just not sure she will love having one around all the time and sharing the attention. I am not sure how much she really understands, she knows that baby brother is in mommy's tummy, and most of the time she is happy about that and talks about her baby brother, but she is not willing to be a "big sister" or and "big girl" she is still a baby too. I think once he is here, she will love being a big sister and she is going to love her baby brother so much! She is so sweet and motherly with her baby dolls, I think she will be just as sweet with him.

As if life is crazy enough with work, full time school, a two year old and a baby on the way, we decided to throw a puppy into the mix! This was not in our plans at all, but we were at Cabela's a couple weekends ago and there was a few different families selling puppies outside the store on the lawn. Ryan fell in love with the little lab puppies, and then a week later, somehow we owned a one. We got a little black lab, and he is darling! Ryan named him Boss. He was a little bit shy the first few days, but now he has warmed up and he is wild! He has been a lot of work already, but he has been so fun for Peyton and we love him!

A couple weeks ago Peyton got a really bad cut on her finger. It was really deep but they couldn't stitch it up because it was on her knuckle, so we have been having to brace it and wrap it ourselves. Since it was so deep it ended up getting a staff infection, even though we were very careful to keep it very clean. Once they got her on an antibiotic for the staff infection, she got a yeast infection, so we had to take her back to the doctor again to get another medication for her. Now that, that is getting taken care of we are thinking her finger isn't healing quite right so we have to take her back to the doctor again tomorrow and maybe to the hospital to get it x-rayed. Poor Peyton has been through a lot the last couple weeks.. we hope she gets better soon!

Our Big TWO Year Old!

Our little girl is two! I cant believe it! These two years have gone by so fast and now our sweet little girl is turning into such a fun little person! She has so much personality and she brings so much joy to our little family! We feel so lucky to be her parents! We love you so much Peyton Jo!

We had a little birthday party for her at our house on Thursday. She had a minnie mouse birthday with a minnie mouse cake, cupcakes, plates, cups, and Peyton had a pink, sparkley minnie mouse tutu and bow.

I made the cupcakes earlier that day and left them on plates in the kitchen. I turned my back for one mintue and Peyton helped herself to a plate.

She was very happy about it... I was not.

Peyton loves her Grampa and uncles so much!

Peyton is such a girly girl. She loves anything fluffly or sparkly or anything that looks like a "princess dress" so she was so excited to wear her tutu!

Peyton was very spoiled and she got so many fun presents. She loved opening them and had to do each one all by herself. It she opened toys she wanted to play with them right away and if she opened clothes she just threw them over her shoulder. Peyton got lots of fun toys, cute clothes, an outdoor table/dry erase board and a princess 4-wheeler.

Peyton loved everyone singing happy birthday to her and blowing our her candles, so we had to do it three times.

Peyton is such a fun little girl! She is a major talker! I cant believe some of the things that she says sometimes! She is quite the little smarty pants, she knows so many huge words and she talks in full sentences. Its so fun seeing her turn into a little person and hearing all of the funny things that she says!

Some things Peyton says when she is angry or when she gets into trouble:

"that makes me mad!" or "you make me mad!"

"are you kidding me!?"

"you are mean! you are fat!" (this is her ultimate comeback when she is really mad.. not sure where she picked it up but it is so funny to hear.. kinda)

"get out!"

"no way!"

Some fun things Peyton says:

"i DO love you mom/dad/etc.." (i love that she always adds the "do" in there)

"i DO miss you mom/dad/etc.."

"i love you bum bum" (we are naming our little guy Beckham, which Peyton cant say so she calls him "bum bum")

"i want to see my baby brother!" (i love when she says this.. so special!)

"you are way cute/nice/funny/pretty/etc.."

"____ is FUN!" (she thinks that everything and everyone is fun, at church she always yells "Jesus is FUN!" not very reverant, but so cute!)

"yeehaw! im riding a neigh!" (she sits on the back of our couch, straddling it, grabs ahold of the couch with one hand and throws the other one up in the air while she yells this, she calls horses, "neighs".. she makes Ryan do this with her)

"mom/dad.... are you nice?! (she says this when she does something naughty or makes a huge mess and she has to see if we are nice before she confesses)

"eww! a mess!" (Peyton loves making messes and then acting surprised afterward like she has no idea how it got there.. she also makes messes because she likes to help clean them up)

The list goes on and on of hilarious things that Peyton says, she is such a fun/entertaining little girl!

Peyton is such a lover! She loves giving hugs and kisses and cuddling, which we love!! She usally loves Ryan most in the mornings when she knows he has to leave for work. She cant quite understand why he has to leave for work every morning, and she gets very emotional about it. Ryan has to cuddle her and she asks over and over "dad, why werrt? (work?) werrt gross.. eeww blah!" and she gives him lots of hugs and kisses and says in a little sad voice "i do love you dad, i do miss you dad" over and over again. It is so special, and I think it makes it a little bit harder for Ryan to have to leave for work every morning.

Some things Peyton LOVES:

going on walks with mom and dad before bed time, princesses or anything princess related, mickey mouse club house, fruit, being outside, her grandparents, uncles, aunts, etc.., babies, strawberry milk, helping mom clean, playing with daddy, chicken nuggets, dora the explorer, shoes.. mine mostly, disney movies, taking baths, hair bows, playing at the park, makeup, all animals, her jelly shoes, flowers, drawing.

Some things Peyton HATES:
getting her hair brushed, the rain, fighting, the vacuum getting to close to her feet, when her hands are dirty, when we have to leave grandma and grampa's houses, getting her diaper changed (hopefully she will be potty trained soon).

I could go on forever talking about Peyton, we just love her more than anything!!! Love you baby girl! Happy Birthday!

I am a little behind on updating the blog and didnt get a change to post about baby Beckham, mothers day or our anniversary. My pregnancy is still going! I am 27 weeks and I feel like I have been pregnant forever and it is never going to end! I am so excited for our little man to get here, I just hope this summer flies by. We started getting his nursery together and that makes me even more excited for him to get here, we just cant wait!!!
Mothers day is always such a fun day because you get spoiled :) Ryan got me ruby stud earings that are beautiful!! And I got a fun cook book I have been wanting from my mom, which was funny becasue I got her the same cook book :) I feel so lucky to be a mommy to such a wonderful little girl and almost a baby boy too! And also becasue I have the greatest mom ever!!!
Yesterday was our 3rd anniversary, I cant believe it becasue these 3 years have gone so fast! We went to see Something Borrowed at Edwards and then went to Olive Garden. We dont get out very much lately because I am still never feeling really great, but it was so fun to have a night to ourselves and just spend time with my amazing husband. Love you Ryan!!!

Easter Weekend!

We had such a fun and busy Easter weekend! Peyton was so spoiled, she had three Easter egg hunts and five Easter baskets! She had so much fun! She was so much fun this year because she knew what was going on and she was so excited about Easter eggs, Easter egg hunts and the Easter bunny! On Saturday we had the big family Easter party at my Grama and Grampa Christensens house. We had Chicago Connection pizza and other yummy food. Then we did the kids egg hunt and then the adult egg game. My grandparents make the both so fun and hide tons of fun prizes and money in the eggs!

Peyton was so excited to start the egg hunt! She loved seeing all the eggs all over the yard!

Peyton was an egg hunting pro, she ran all over the yard and filled her bucket so fast!

She was so excited so see all of the fun things in her basket! She got a ton of dress up jewelery (which she loves), candy, toys, nail polish and lip gloss! She loved it! She had such a fun day! She spent the rest of the night playing with her new toys, blowing bubbles, jumping on the tramp and playing on the slides. We were there for a little over four hours and Peyton didn't come inside once, except when we made her come in to take some pictures. She had a blast!

Angie and I are both pregnant, expecting little boys and our due dates are only a week and a half apart!

It took a lot of work to get the four little girls to all sit by each other to take a picture!

Its an Easter tradition for all the guys to play basketball after all the Easter festivities!

It is also a tradition for all the guys to go rabbit hunting that night but all the guys got into trouble by the wives/moms because it is mean to shoot rabbits for no reason so it is now rabbit catching. They leave around 10pm and are gone until 3 or 4am, and they run around the desert chasing and jumping on rabbits. I dont understand it at all, but they love it! They always catch 10 or so and bring them back and let them free in the neighborhoods, they think it is so hilarious to see wild rabbits running around the neighborhoods for weeks.

Peyton was very interested in what Ryan was doing while he was cleaning guns and getting them ready!

The next morning we had our little Easter at our house. Peyton was so happy to see another Easter basket and to go on another egg hunt! The Easter bunny brought Peyton bubbles, play dough, sidewalk chalk, nail polish, old navy tshirts and candy!

A little later that morning Grampa Douglas and Pam came over to give her another Easter basket. She got a Dora book, and a Dora doll, and a ball. They also brought over cupcakes which Peyton very much enjoyed!

We then went over to my parents house for a yummy Easter lunch and Peyton got another Easter basket. She got a nemo ball, some cute clothes and a little bunny. We also got some little Easter presents for baby Beckham!

We are really quite spoiled, after a yummy Easter lunch we went over to Grama Douglas' house for a yummy Easter dinner and another egg hunt!

Peyton loves aunt Jess and uncle Cars!

Peyton found lots of fun things around the yard, like a cute umbrella, bubbles and a baby watering can so she can help water flowers and a bunch of eggs filled with fun stuff like candy and movie tickets!

Oh BOY!

We had our twenty week ultrasound and found out we are having a baby BOY! We are so excited! I love getting ultrasounds and seeing our little guy moving and wiggling around. Our doctor has an amazing 4-D ultrasound machine and you can see all of our little guys adorable little features! I dont have the 4-D pictures on a disk so I will have to get them posted a little later, but we got plenty of other pictures of our little man! He is healthy and right on track for size and everything and he is such a busy baby! I felt him moving a lot earlier than I felt Peyton, and all his little movements are already so strong. During our ultrasound he was streching and kicking like crazy. It was so neat watching him on the monitor whenever he would move or kick I would watch it and feel it simultaniously. It was so amazing. We told Peyton she is going to have a baby brother and she is happy about that, but she isnt ready to commit to the whole big sister thing. Whenever we ask her if she wants to be a big sister she yells "Big sister? NO WAY!" I dont think she quite gets what is going on yet and she is such a baby lover I know she will love being a big sister! Ryan is so happy that we are going to be having a boy so he has a dirt biking, basketball, football, hunting partner! Ryan has already decided on a name and there is no changing his mind! Luckily, I love the name too! After Ryan graduated he worked for a guy who had a little boy named Beckham and Ryan has loved it ever since so... Beckham it is! Ryan doesnt want to spell it the traditonal way, but some of his ideas are a little crazy for me! If you have any cute ideas on how to spell Beckham a little differently let us know! :) We cant wait for our little baby Beckham to get here!!!

These last couple of weeks have been crazy! It feels like we have been going non stop! At the beginning of spring break we took Peyton to the zoo because she loves it so much! It was still a little chilly, but still so fun!

Peyton used to be so afraid of the little petting farm they have, but this time she loved feeding the animals!

Peyton's favorites are the monkeys, the zebra and the tigers. While she was looking at the tigers a couple of little girls ran up to see them too and Peyton stuck both of her arms out to stop them and shouted "NO! MY TIGERS!" She isn't really into the whole sharing thing quite yet! :) She loves sitting on the baby tiger.

Since this was our last week this Spencer for two years we had lots of family time! We went out to eat at Idaho Pizza Company and then went bowling at westys!

I love this face! She is still into giving me these super cheesy smiles, but I love them!

This was Peyton's first time bowling and she loved it!

She cried and pouted after every turn because she had to wait for other people to bowl.

Later in the week we went to the zoo again, and it was half price day and so nice and warm outside so it was so busy! We had a little picnic lunch out side the zoo and then met up with Eric, Angie and Dawn and all the kiddos that came along!

We stopped by the pond for a bit to feed the ducks and geese. Peyton loved feeding them entire slices of bread at a time.

That night, Ryan went to play basketball like he does every week and came home with a broken ankle. He was in a lot of pain and has to be in a boot and on crutches for a little while.

Peyton was really concerned about her Daddy's hurt foot and asked over and over again if he was okay.

This was after hours of icing and elevating his foot. It looked like he had a baseball in his ankle!

He was a little happier the next day when he had some pain meds. He sure milked it and I had to serve him all day. :)

Monday afternoon Ryan, Peyton and I left for Utah and we brought Zach along with us. The rest of my family was coming up the next day so on Tuesday morning we got McDonald's breakfast and went to the Hogle Zoo. This was our third time at the zoo in two weeks but Peyton still loved it!

I love the elephants, the baby one was so cute!

I tried to get Peyton to take pictures by all of the animal cages but she insisted that she just needed a picture by the lion drinking fountain.

My Grandma Rigby bought Peyton this little dress with a tutu skirt and Peyton loves it! She wants to wear it everyday and night. She calls it her princess dress. When she is wearing it she put her hands on her hips and twirls around saying "princess dress, princess dress". I will admit she is so cute in it! We are going to have to go get her some more princess dresses!

After only a week, Ryan decided that he didn't need his crutches or his boot anymore even though he promised he would stay in his boot for at least 4 weeks. This is so typical of Ryan because he never follows doctors orders or any ones actually. He always decides that he doesn't need it anymore and just kind of ignores that he has a broken bone even though his foot is black and blue and looks like it belongs on a 400 lb man, he insists that its fine.

After the zoo we ate Ryan's most favorite place, fazolis and then headed to Temple Square. We walked around for a little bit until the rest of my family got into town. We then went to the huge distribution center they have there to get Spence a few more things that he needed. I am so jealous of how many huge distribution centers they have in Utah because ours here is basically a ten ft by ten ft box. We looked around the distribution center for a little bit and we got a couple new pictures for our walls! We then went back to temple square and went to the church history museum and a couple other places. I love temple square in the spring/summer time because it is covered in flowers! The flowers were really new so it wasn't covered yet, but it was still so pretty!

After Peyton woke up I wanted to take a picture of her with the temple but she was tired and grumpy and didn't want her picture taken so she pouted. But it turned out to be such a funny/cute picture! It definitely shows he little personality! :)

After Temple Square we went to the gateway mall and ate at California pizza kitchen. It took quite a few pizzas and pastas to feed this many big guys! It was so good!

The next morning we got ready to send Spence off! We went to McDonald's breakfast and then walked around the BYU bookstore until it was time to drop him off.

It was such a weird feeling dropping him off knowing we wont see him for two years. We are so happy for him and proud that he is going, but it was still so sad to say goodbye!

Spencer is going to be such a great missionary! We are so excited to hear from him and hear all about his adventures when he gets to Thailand. We already miss him soooo much!

Update!

A few weeks ago we moved into a beautiful new townhouse. Our apartment was so small, we had no choice but to move with baby number two on the way! We love it so much! Packing and moving is really hard when you are pregnant and sick, but we made it work! Thanks to my amazing husband, who did majority of the work, we were all moved and unpacked in just two days! It is a 3 bed, 2 1/2 bath and just has so much space! All the bedrooms are upstairs as well as the laundry room, which is amazing! We have a little fenced yard which Peyton loves, and just feet behind our yard there is a huge neighborhood swimming pool, fitness center and playground! It is going to be so fun for summer! We have taken Peyton to the park a couple times and she loves it! I cant wait until it warms up so we can spend more time outside! We are soooo grateful to be in our new home!!!

I really need to do a much needed update on Peyton, she is turning into such a funny girl and she has so much personality! She is going to be two in April, which I can barely believe! She has a huge vocabulary and you can pretty much understand anything she says now. Peyton loves singing, reading books, dancing, coloring, playing with her babies, taking baths, playing beauty shop and playing outside. Some of her favorite shows are Dora the explorer, mickey mouse club house, sponge bob, and basically any Disney movie. Lately Peyton is a different person everyday, some days she wakes up and says "hi! i baby!" and some days its "hi! i deeya! (Dora)" she is also boots (Dora's monkey), sponge bob and patrick (from sponge bob). Some days she assigns us to be one of them, and sometimes we try to tell her that we are one of them and she gets upset and puts her chin to her chest and pouts. Mostly, she only lets me be mommy and Ryan be daddy. :) When we ask Peyton how old she is she says "i baby". Peyton is a wild child, and she just goes and goes all day long. Even when we put her in her crib at night, she is almost never tired and we hear her in her room jumping in her crib for about twenty minutes until she decides to go to sleep. She is getting to be very difficult to take anywhere because she thinks every place I take her is just somewhere for her to run and explore. I took her to Ann Taylor Loft the other day and spent the whole time chasing her around the store. She ran back into the dressing rooms, got down on her stomach, stuck her head under a lady's dressing room door and said "Hi!! What doing?!" It was horribly embarrassing so we decided it was time to leave! :) Peyton is a very polite baby and says please and thank you for everything. Whenever I tell her no she always says "hmmm howbout.... and then tells me what she thinks she should be able to do. She wanted to get into the bath for the third time the other day so I told no more baths today and she thought about that for a minute and then said very sweetly "hmmm howbout.... i bath!" She can never quite take no for an answer. Peyton sure keeps our lives very interesting! We love our little girl so much!!!

My pregnancy is still going good. I am about 18 1/2 weeks now and I am passed the worst part of being sick, but definitely not feeling great yet. I am more functional now, and sometimes I even wear actual clothes, and not just sweats. Before I could barely shower once and I was at maximum effort for that week, now I am able to do a lot more and even do my hair and put makeup on. In the first few months I only made two dinners total, and just last week alone I made four, so Ryan is very please with that! Besides being sick, everything else is going great! I am very grateful that I am feeling better much sooner with this pregnancy, with Peyton I was still throwing up all day long up until about 25 weeks. I am pretty sure Peyton doesn't really know what is going on. She knows mommy has a baby in her tummy, but she thinks she has one in her tummy too. So we really have no clue how she is going to react when our new little baby gets here! We find out what we are having on April 7th and we cant wait!!!

This last weekend I went to a couple of my friends baby showers. Friday night was Kelsey's and it was so much fun. It was so fun to see her and all of the fun baby stuff she got. Her little man is going to be looking so cute! So many of my friends from high school were there and it was great to get to see them and catch up! Saturday was my friend Courtney's baby shower. She is having a little girl and is due in three weeks! I have never seen so many adorable little girl clothes! I love getting to go to baby showers and seeing old friends!

This weekend is going to be so busy and so fun.. Some of my moms family is coming into town because Spencer's farewell is this weekend! He got his mission call to Bangkok, Thailand, Thai speaking! I cant believe his farewell is already almost here and he will be gone in a couple of weeks! We went with him Friday to the temple for the first time, and then Sunday is his farewell and we are doing two different open houses for him that afternoon/night! Spencer goes into the MTC April 6th, and we are so excited to get to go to Utah with my family to see him off! He is going to be such a wonderful missionary and he is so excited to go to Thailand he can barely stand it! (Spencer's farewell is tomorrow March 20th, at 9am at the Locust Grove stake center, come if you can!!)

Well.. I am a little behind on posting about Christmas, being so horribly sick night at day its been hard to get caught up! Christmas was wonderful this year. Peyton had a better idea of what was going on and she had a blast! She got so many fun things that she loves! She was one happy girl Christmas morning :)

Daddy was Peyton's first customer at her beauty shop, she made him look beautiful :)

And of course she was spoiled by all of her grandparents, aunts and uncles!

I cant believe it is already 2011! Time is just flying by! 2010 was good to us, we have a lot of great memories to look back on. Peyton turned 1, we celebrated 2 years of marriage, we found out we will be having a second baby, and lots more, and we have a lot to look forward to in 2011! Peyton will be 2, Ryan is starting a new job, we will be moving into a house, we will have been married for 3 years, baby #2 will be here and the newest, very exciting news....

Spencer got called to the Thailand, Bangkok mission, Thai speaking! He leaves April 6th for the MTC. We are so excited for him and so proud of him! We are all planning on taking a couple weeks to go pick him up in two years and explore Thailand! Cant wait!!!

Fifteen Fun Facts! :)

So... I kind of stole this cute idea from my cousin Sarah who did a "did you know?" post that had a whole bunch of completely random/fun facts... with a fun surprise at the end! So hopefully you don't mind I am stealing your cute idea Sarah :) :) So here it goes...

1. Courtney is apparently completely unoriginal and steals blogs ideas from her cousin :)
2. Ryan and Courtney have known each other since Courtney was 9 and Ryan was 11. They have been friends for a very long time!

3. Ryan and Courtney are both avid football watchers. Boise State mostly for Courtney.. ANYTHING FOOTBALL for Ryan :) Anything football, basketball, hunting or UFC really..

4. Ryan is not capable of playing an entire game of basketball without getting into a fight.

5. Courtney is obsessed with taking pictures. Ryan very much dislikes that she is, but is getting so much better about cooperating for pictures!

6. Ryan is a snowboarder. Courtney is a skier. Ryan is determined to change Courtney into a snowboarder.

7. Ryan and Courtney had a "three week fling" in high school and LOVE to argue about who "ended" it, because neither of us really remember what actually happened.

8. Ryan is studying to be an orthopedic surgeon and Courtney is studying to be a registered nurse (hopefully in the labor and delivery dept.)

9. Courtney loses cell phones all the time, and cant hold onto one for more than a week or so! This drives Ryan crazy!

10. Ryan is simply amazing at pretty much every sport.. especially basketball and football.

11. Ryan and Courtney's moms are both named Tammy, which gives their daughter two Grandma Tammy's.

12. Ryan and Courtney went to rival high schools.

13. Courtney is a stay-at-home mom and LOVES it!

14. Ryan and Courtney have a darling 20 month old little girl named Peyton Jo.

15. Ryan and Courtney will be parents of two in July!

Yes that's right.. baby number 2 is on the way, due July 2011 and we are so excited!!! This means lots of changes in the Douglas household! Peyton will no longer be an only child and will have to share Mommy and Daddy's attention, which I don't think she will enjoy very much. She is a major baby lover, but she is also a major attention lover and I don't think she will want a new baby around all the time. Hopefully she can work it out with her new brother or sister and they can get along. We have so much to look forward to this next year and we are so excited and cant wait to meet our new little baby! I'm now about ten weeks or so and I fully remember that pregnancy is HARD! This pregnancy so far has been rough, to say the least. And it is a lot harder this time having to take care of a toddler and be horribly sick! Luckily I have a lot of family that are very willing to babysit so I can rest once in a while. I feel like I am very much neglecting my wifely/motherly duties because I am so sick. Our house has never been so dirty, I cant remember the last time I cooked dinner and I basically only get off the couch to eat, and to feed and change Peyton. I give Peyton as much attention as I can from the couch. We spend a lot of time reading books and watching movies, since that is basically all I can do. Ryan has been so helpful in making me food and giving Peyton a lot of attention when he isn't working. He also has been doing a lot of the housework, but with him working full time it just doesn't all get done. I'm so grateful for everything that he has been doing though. He has been very understanding about running all over town picking up anything I am craving or anything I decided I could keep down. Unfortunately I don't just get "morning sickness" and only through the first trimester. I am sick morning, afternoon, evening and night and almost all the way through. With Peyton it got a little bit better around 25 weeks or so, but still not great. And really that's still so far away! I lived through it once, so I am pretty sure I will live through it again. And its all so worth it in the end!
To tell our families the good news we got Peyton dressed up on Christmas Eve in a red tutu skirt, tights and a shirt that said "My Christmas present came early this year..." on the front, and on the back it said "I'm going to be a big sister!" It was very cute! We just let her wander around the house and didn't say a word until someone noticed. Ryan's family figured it out pretty much right away. My family took a little bit longer. Every one's reactions were the exact same. They all would read her shirt out loud and then say "awwww... WAIT WHAT?!" Everyone is so excited and we all cant wait until we get to meet this new little baby!

LOVE the holidays!

We are very much enjoying the holidays and we are so excited Christmas is just around the corner. We have gotten Peyton lots of fun things, and this year is going to be so fun because she will actually be excited to open presents and see her new toys, not just play with the wrapping paper. :) We taught Peyton to say "HO HO HO Merry Christmas" because my mom told me how my little brother used to say that and how cute it was. When Peyton says it, it comes out as "HO HO HO Missmas!"

Saturday we had the annual Bingham Christmas Party (my dad's, mom's family). It is always fun to get to see all of our family that we don't see very much throughout the year. Ryan, my uncle Eric and a couple of my brothers went out a little earlier in the day to shoot birds.. and they did. Ryan expects me to cook dove for dinner... not happening!!! Then they went to the church were we have the party because all the guys get together before and play basketball. Peyton and I came with the rest of my family just in time to eat the yummy dinner and play bingo! The Binghams/Christensens/Johansens love their bingo! The Christensen family dominated bingo! We won every present except for one, and Ryan and I both won, which is strange because we never win! Peyton had a blast running through the church and playing in the nursery with the toys and other kids. She got into it over a toy with another little girl and she got her hair pulled. Now whenever we talk about church Peyton rubs her head and said "church owww" with a big pouty face! Poor girl! Hopefully this wont effect her going to nursery from now on!

Lately, when we ask Peyton to smile this is what she does. There are a few variations of her smile, one looks something like a kissy face. I think for a while we are going to have a lot of pictures that look like this :)

I cant believe how fast November flew by and now December too! Christmas is in 5 days.. crazy! We are so lucky to live so close to both of our wonderful families, it makes the holidays that much better. We are planning on spending Christmas Eve and Christmas Day with both families and we cant wait for some quality family time.

Our little Christmas tree was looking so sad with no presents under it so I wrapped a few of them up and put them under the tree. It was a bad move, Peyton has decided that they are all her baby seats and she drags them everywhere to stand and sit on. They were all so beautifully wrapped and now they are a bit mangled. I guess we will have to wait til Peyton is asleep on Christmas Eve to get the rest out.

Ryan is a big fan of real trees, but he was so nice this year to let me get a fake, pre-lit tree! Putting the tree together :)

Our poor tree didn't get completely decorated this year. I was planning on making bows to put on it, and I have all the ribbon, I just haven't gotten around to making them yet. Maybe by Christmas I will get them made, or hopefully at least by next Christmas :)

The three presents that I wrapped were already missing bows within seconds of me putting them under the tree.. definitely going to wait to wrap the rest!

Peyton is doing wonderfully these days. She is such a sweet little girl and we just love her so incredibly much! She is coming up on 20 months and she is still such a tall girl and has a head full of TONS of brown curls! These little Peyton bits are more for my personal use, so I can remember all the things she said and did when she was a baby how ever many years down the road, and for our parents, grandparents and other family who like to keep up on her life, so I know its long, but if you enjoy reading it, feel free :)

She is still busy as ever! She is talking like crazy, and it is so fun to be able to communicate with her so well! The things that she says and does get more hilarious everyday! I was driving with my mom the other day and Peyton yells "MOMMM WASSHHHH!" (mom watch!) from the backseat, so I turn around and she is balancing her sippy cup on top of her head, it was so funny and very impressive! Peyton is a major family lover! We have the hardest time getting her out of any Grama's and Grampa's houses, she just has so many people who love her and she has so much fun with all of her uncles, aunts, cousins, gramas, grampas, etc... She calls grandparents "Nama" and "Gampa" and she can easily pick any member of either mine or Ryan's family out of a picture and tell us who they are. Peyton kind of picks favorites, and each day it changes. If you aren't on the favorites list that day, you are going to get zero attention from Peyton and she shows no sympathy (unless you lay on the ground and start crying.. which sadly we all do even daddy and all the uncles, and then you will get a little bit of pity love). Peyton is a little bit bossy, and very sassy! We went to church with my family last week and my dad kept trying to share Peyton's crayons with my little brother Kaden and Peyton was not having any of that! So she kept taking her crayons away from Kaden as fast as my dad could give them to him. When she had about six crayons in each hand she put them down, got her pointer finger in my dads face and shouted in the middle of Sacrament meeting "GAMMMPAAAA NOOOO MORE!" And I mean shouted! The other day when Ryan's mom and sister were babysitting for us she did the same thing to them. I cant remember exactly what Ryan's mom was doing that Peyton did not approve of but she got right in Tammy's face and said "NAAMMMA NOOOOOOO!" Ryan and I get told on a daily basis "no more" or "stop it" to just about everything we do.

She loves wearing Ryan's hats and beanies. If we ask her if she is gangsta she says "uhhhh yaaaa!" and she holds up three or four of her fingers and says "peace!"

She insisted that she be the one to feed herself pudding :)

After I took a couple of pictures Peyton asked me if I would take more pictures, one with here folding her arms and one with her arms up.. so we did :)

Peyton loves her sleepy time. She loves naps and going to bed at night. During the day if I don't put her down soon enough she will get her bottle and her blanky and come to me, grab my hand and drag me into her bedroom, point to her crib and say "mom seeepy!" Once I lay her down she requests, "turty" which is a stuffed turkey Grampa Douglas gave to her, her moose that Grama Douglas and aunt Jessica gave her, and her baby. As soon as she has everything she needs she says "K! BYE! SEE YA!" and blows me as kiss as fast as she can. She wants me out of her room fast so she can sleep! It sure makes my days/nights easier not having to fight with her about going to sleep :)

One of Peyton's newest tricks is her air guitar. She closes her eyes, sticks her tongue out, dances around and gets her hands going like she is playing a guitar. It is the cutest/funniest thing I have ever seen.

Some Peyton favorites lately are the wiggles, sponge bob, and mikey mouse club house. She loves most disney movies, but really its mostly the wiggles right now. Ryan can barely watch a second of it without wanting to rip his hair out, but I am finding that I am starting to enjoy them. I often find myself singing wiggles songs throughout the day, it is such a sad thing to admit. I got on the computer the other day to see if a wiggles concert was coming to Boise soon but instead stumbled upon some old wiggles "news" about the blue wiggle and the affair he had with one of the wiggles dancers. The wiggles have scandals too! What?! What is this world coming to! Ryan expressed to me how truly sad he thought it was that I spent the day reading about the wiggles scandal. :) And I admit, it really was! But really.. a wiggles scandal.. c'mon!

Last week was finals week, hooray for that! Finally a much needed three week break! Only two more semesters and then the nursing program! I am so excited but a little bit terrified. Ryan is starting a new job in January. It is a marketing job and I think it is going to be an amazing change for our family. It is going to free up so much of Ryan's time and he will make so much more than he does now. We are so excited for this new change! In the spring Ryan is playing on a semi-pro football team, the spartans. It is going to be so fun to watch him play and Peyton sure loves football games! Ryan is having a lot of fun playing on two city league teams this year and I am having fun watching!

The Nampa team got new jerseys this year, and its pretty obvious Eric picked out the colors.. maroon and silver :) GO PATS!!! Ryan was not overly happy that he had to wear centennial colors being that he played for eagle and they are rival high schools and Eric thought it was pretty funny! And I will admit, it really was! I never thought I would see the day when Ryan would wear those colors!

Thanksgiving Break

This holiday season has been busy for us so far! School is almost over for this semester which is amazing because I have had enough of it. I am ready for a break, tyring to go to school full time and take care of a wild 20 month old little girl is very challenging. And I think Ryan can agree working full time and going to school full time is also very difficult, but we are making it work :)

Ryan and I went to the BSU vs Utah State game today and it was BSU's last game, besides a bowl game which is very sad. It is sad after this amazing season that there will be no bcs bowl or national championship. The Nevada loss was sooo unbelievably sad and Ryan and I, along with my entire family, will probably be depressed for a year. BSU fans at the game today were very supportive of their kicker and the stadium was covered with people holding "we love brotzman" signs. The game was good, another blow out and it was freezing but we still had so much fun!

A couple of weeks ago was Ryan's birthday. Ryan's mom took us to Texas Roadhouse along with Ryan's brother and sister and we went to see Red, which was hilarious. We also had dinner at Ryan's moms house and birthday brownies. I made Ryan a Texas sheet cake and we had a little birthday celebration at my parents house as well.

Ryan got a lot of fun things for his birthday. He got restaurant and movie gift cards from my family, a new snowboarding helmet and goggles from his mom, all his deer meat paid for from his dad and new snowboarding pants, jacket and boots from me and Peyton! Happy Birthday Ryan, I love you!!!

I love this! It is so like Ryan to get dressed up from head to toe in his new stuff for no reason at all! I love him!

Thanksgiving was so fun this year! It didn't happen the way we planned, but it turned out great! We had it with my family this year and all of my mom's family were supposed to come into town but sadly they didn't make it because of the roads. Luckily my grandparents came a few days before the big storm and brought a few of my little cousins along with them and my moms cousin and his family were able to come over also. Ryan's mom and siblings were planning on going to Utah but they didn't make it out of town either so we combined and all had Thanksgiving together. It is very unusual to get to have one Thanksgiving dinner with both of our families so we are very grateful it turned out the way that it did! It was so much fun getting to spend our holiday with everyone, but we wish we could have also see Ryan's dad!

The boys started out the day with their usual game of football! Peyton, Tammy, Jessica and myself ventured out into the freezing cold to watch. Peyton loved playing in the snow and watching football.

It was so difficult to get any good pictures of the guys.. they were too busy taking inappropriate pictures!

I told all the guys to get into a line so I could take a picture of everyone.. so of course they form a single file line.

With winter comes city league basketball. Ryan is on two teams again this year. One with my dad, my brother, Ryan's brother and a few family friends and one with my uncle Eric. It is so fun to watch Ryan play. I haven't been very good about getting pictures so far because Peyton sure keeps me busy at his games, but hopefully I will get some good ones in future games.

Boise was hit with a ton of snow this last week and we have been loving it. We went up to Bogus Friday after Thanksgiving with my brother and Ryan's siblings and we had so much fun. We were so excited they opened so soon so we get full use out of our passes! We tried to take pictures when we were up there but my camera died, so we will get some next time! :) One night last week it snowed about 8 inches so we took Peyton out to play in the snow and she loved it. She got to wear her new snow pants and coat and snow boots. Ryan and I tried to build her a snow cave but it wasn't working out so we built her a snow slide instead and it turned out great. It is about 3 feet high and Ryan made perfect little stairs and walls for hand rails and a little slide. She stayed out there forever just going up and down. She loved it!

Peyton played until it got dark and when we made her come inside she was devastated. She wouldn't look at the camera and she just cried on Daddy's shoulder.

It took a lot of bribing but she finally decided a cookie would make her feel better.

Over Thanksgiving break I also took some engagement pictures for one of my friends from high school and I think they turned out great. Here is a small sample! Hope you guys like them!

Halloween Weekend

This was Peyton's first year going trick to treating! Since she is still pretty little, we figured she wouldnt last long so we decided to go to my parents ward trunk or treat. It was perfect for her. She caught on really fast with the whole trick or treating idea and she loved it. She wouldn't say trick or treat or do any of the work, she would go right up to the person with the candy bowl and hold her basket right in their face until they gave her candy. It was so fun taking her trick or treating for the first time!

Sunday night we had a little Halloween party at my grandparents house that Angie put on. She is such a great party planner and it turned out great! It was such a fun Halloween weekend.

Peyton was a witch for Halloween and she was the cutest little witch around. I made her entire costume, and it really was a lot of work but it ended up looking so cute and it was a huge hit! Peyton got so many compliments! Peyton loves wearing tutus so she really enjoyed running around in her darling costume!

Before trunk or treating we went over to Grandma Douglas' house and there was a kitty in the backyard. Peyton loves animals so she followed this kitty every where meowing. She was talking to the kitty like she does to our dog Bella and was getting really upset when it wouldn't stay. This kitty got in lots of trouble from Peyton!

She was so proud of her basket full of candy! Ryan's mom gave Peyton this little pumpkin basket for Peyton to use trick or treating. Ryan used this same basket trick or treating when he was a little guy.

Ryan had to empty out Peyton's basket because it got really full only half way through the trunk or treat and Peyton was really upset when he took her basket.

I love trunk or treats because I can remember all the way back to when I was only 10 and our ward had a trunk or treat and Ryan was there dressed up as a cheerleader. It is fun to think that we were once trunk or treating together when were were little and now we are taking our little girl trunk or treating! :)

More Fall Happenings

Peyton is now a year and a half! I cannot believe our little girl is already 18 months old! Time has seriously flown by! Peyton is so busy, and definitely keeps us busy too! It is amazing to see how much she has learned and how much she picks up from us. She is such a smarty pants, and copies everything we say and do. She is such a talker, and she has learned so many new words! She has stared to say phrases and sentences now too, its so fun that we can talk to her and she can talk back to us too! She can also look at a picture of anyone in my family or Ryan's family and show us who each person is. She loves her family, especially my little brother Zach, who she calls mommy.

Some of Peyton's favorite things are babies, shoes, blankeys, talking, dancing, singing, chocolate, little mermaid, pillows, strollers and shopping carts pushing them, not riding in them), phones, keys, sponge bob square pants, mommy and daddy, sweeping, doggies, grape tomatoes, visiting her grandparents and aunts/uncles, bottles/sippys, pictures, Jesus, outside, finding nemo, the park, feeding herself, blueberries, stairs, sandwich's, cheese, making messes, helping fold laundry, brushing her teeth, taking baths, visiting daddy at work, and lots more!

Some things she hates are, the vacuum, getting her hair brushed, getting dressed, sitting in her high chair, loud noises, fighting or any conflict, when you take her food out of the wrapper, and when I get to close to Ryan.

Some of her favorite words are no, stop it, don't, please (peasss), thank you (tank too), thats Jesus (das Jesus), amazing (mazing), wow, cute (toot), pretty (piddy), nemo (memo), baby, shoes (choose), outside (side), grandma (gama), grandpa (gampa), why, and many, many more!

Peyton has an obsession with shoes. She loves getting into her shoe drawer and trying them all on, and when she is done with that she goes and finds mine or Ryan's shoes and wears them around the house. She will also go get my shoes when I am trying to do things around the house and try to put them on me. If I don't let her put them on me she gets very upset. She usually bring heels, so I have to do a lot of the house work in heels, so that I wont offend Peyton.

Peyton loves reading books. We spend a good portion of the day sitting in the rocking chair in her room reading books. She especially loves books that have babies, flowers or animals in them. If they have babies she says "ohhhhhh" and lays on her book and kisses the babies. If the book has flowers she smells them, and makes me smell them too and if they have animals, she makes all the sounds that they make.

Peyton is such a lover! She loves to cuddle and give hugs and kisses, which I love! She blows kisses to everyone! She is such a sweetie!

Lately Peyton and I are in competition for Ryan's attention. She doesn't want me anywhere near him, and if I get to close she yells "Noooo! Mine!" or "Mom! Stop it!" and she comes and pushes me out of the way and then cuddles with Ryan. Of course she has to look back at me after she kicks me out and give me a "ha i won mom" look. She sure loves her Daddy! She is definitely a Daddy's girl. She loves being with Ryan.

Peyton LOVES football. Whether we are watching it on TV or actually at the game, she thinks it is the best thing that could ever happen to her. (She is definitely her Daddy's girl) :) Whenever she sees it on TV she yells "YAAA! YA! YA!" and then runs around like she is playing and says "GO GO GO!!!" She loves it so much, it is very cute!

This last weekend we went to Utah for Ryan's cousins mission homecoming. It was fun to see Ryan's family and let them meet Peyton. A few of the have met her before, but not since she was about three weeks old and she sure has changed since then! Peyton was wonderful on the drive. We probably have the DVD players in our car, and sponge bob to thank for that. On our way there she was watching sponge bob and she yells "Bob! Stop it!" So I looked back at the TV and sponge bob was fighting with another fish and it really upset her. Peyton hates when people fight. It was very cute, that she was afraid for sponge bob, and also cute that Peyton and sponge bob are on a nick name basis now. :)

It was a very short trip, but still fun. Ryan, Peyton and myself drove down Saturday afternoon and met Tammy, Jessica and Carson there. We did some shopping Saturday night and went to eat at my most favorite cafe.. Zupas! We went to church the next day to hear Ryan's cousin speak. She did such a wonderful job.
Utah in the fall is so gorgeous! The colors of the bushes and trees were beautiful!

Peyton was terrible at church, as usual. I look around at all the other babies her age sitting nicely with their families and wonder why Peyton cant do that. She just has so much energy she doesn't even know what to do! She runs up and down the isles yelling and talking and singing, she is so loud and she will never sit still. Taking her out in the hall really doesn't accomplish much because she does all the same things out there, plus some. She torments other children and wants to hold all the tiny babies. She tries to show me their eyes, and nose and everything else, which the other mothers don't love. She goes in and out of classrooms and yells "HIII GUYYS!!!" with a big cheesy smile on her face. Then she will run up to every picture of Jesus and yell "WOW DAS JESUS! MAZING!" This week I was getting really desperate for her to be good so I said "Peyton, Jesus is going to be so sad if you don't start being good at church." She looked over at the picture of Jesus on the wall and pointed to him, gave me a little "really mom?" face and said, "Mom, uhh, Jesus no sad!" So I am running out of ideas for church. Only one more week and its time for nursery! Which will be a blessing, I hope. I am nervous that she will be brought to me in Sunday school because she isn't sharing or hitting or something! Hopefully everything will go okay! When sacrament meeting was over everyone starting coming out of the chapel and a group of ladies came up to Peyton and said "look how cute you are!" Peyton, knowing that she is cute, started twirling her dressing saying "tank too (thank you), tank too" as they walked by her. It was so cute, she is quite the little show off. :)

After church they had a little get together at Ryan's aunts house. They had so much yummy breakfast foods and Peyton had so much fun running around outside and playing with all the cousins on the trampoline.

We had so much fun on our quick little weekend getaway. It was great to see Ryan's family and spend time with them. It was a great weekend!

Last weekend Jess and I went to the BSU game. It was a major blow out so the game wasn't super exciting but we still had a blast!

This is the craziest BSU fan. He was so entertaining and very distracting from the game!

Jess and I desperately tried to take a cute picture, but it was hopeless so we just took these instead! :)

After about 10 minutes of picture taking we realized the stadium had been completely silent for the last 10 minutes. It was because one of the players was badly hurt and had to be taken to the hospital on a stretcher.
